The 6.6 is the little brother to the 7.8. The engine is backwards, meaning the exhaust is on the driver side, and the fuel system is on the passenger. I had an F-600 with the 6.6 and hydro brakes, and I have an F-800 with air brakes. Unless it's stupid cheep, the hydro brakes are a deal killer in my opinion. My 7.8 runs and pulls awesome.

The 7.8L was rated at 270hp..I think the 6.6L was rated at 185 to 225. The 7.8 had an intercooler in front of the radiator..the 6.6 just ran a tube across the valve cover. Come to think about it, I found an original in the box Ford block heater kit for this motor in the bottom of my tool box. Guess some guy ordered it and his already had one.
